Volunteering for us

Volunteers are involved in almost every aspect at Trinity. Volunteers help to create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere which can lessen people’s initial fear of a hospice situation.

What does Volunteering involve

  • Giving some of your time
  • Meeting new people
  • Making new friends
  • Learning new skills
  • Being a valued member of a team

Where can you help

Please click on the section/sections you are interested in below for further information and guidelines.

Anyone can volunteer

  • Parents with young children
  • Retired people
  • Semi retired people
  • Students
  • Unemployed - looking to improve their skills/ job prospects

How much time should I ecpect to give

It is usual for our volunteers to give between 2 - 4 hours of their time each week, working on a rota basis. We also welcome volunteers on a ad-hoc basis and can call on them as and when needed. Volunteers need to be reliable and committed to their role. This ensures that service provision is maintained to the highest level.
