Trinity Hospice and Palliative Care Services provides specialist palliative care for adults and children who have life limiting illnesses in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.
Located in Bispham, Blackpool, Trinity is THE local hospice for Blackpool Fylde and Wyre. Our family of services continues to grow and as you explore our website you’ll find out more about how each one of these services cares for the individual throughout their journey and provides invaluable support for their families and friends.
The site aims to provide information for patients, carers, professionals – (please see the section of information for professionals ) and of course for those who want to support the hospice either by volunteering or fundraising.
- Are Trinity & Brian House Children’s Hospice in seperate locations or on the same site?
Yes. Brian House Children’s Hospice is an entirely independent children’s unit but located on the same site on Low Moor Road, Bispham.
How much do I have to pay for Trinity’s help?
Nothing. All care at Trinity and any of its family of services is entirely free of charge.
How do individuals get help from Trinity?
Adults and children referred to Trinity Hospice may receive help in a number of ways:

By being admitted for a short period to the In-patient Unit.

By coming for a day to the Day Therapy Unit or Brian House.

By accessing the hospital based or community based Clinical Nurse Specialists, who can visit individuals either in hospital or at home.

By accessing information and counselling services from the Linden Centre.

By receiving short courses of appropriate Complementary Therapies such as aromatherapy and reflexology.

By accessing the Lymphoedema Service.
- Is the Hospice Funded by the NHS?
The answer to this question is fairy complex in the respect that we do receive approx 1/3 of our annual running costs from the PCT. This equates to approx £2 million of the £6 million it costs to fund the entire service. This means that the remaining £4 million comes from the support of the local community.
